Highway
53
With close to 19 miles of 20 – 25 mile per hour switchbacks,
Highway 53 is a favorite stomping ground for Oregon riders. The proximity
to the coast provides Highway 53 with lush surroundings, and it is
an excellent destination for anyone wanting to take a day trip to
the Oregon coast. Highway 53 leaves the main throughway of Highway
26 and meanders southwest to Highway 101 near Mohler. A number of
small coastal towns are close to Highway 53’s end point; Manzanita
and Wheeler to name a couple.
One of our goals with this movie series
is to help improve the image of sportbikes and sportbike riders
in the eyes of the public. If deciding to venture to Highway 53,
please be courteous of other motorists and ride within your limits.
The highway is a joy to ride, but it is not a racetrack. Now, join
liv2day as he leads the way on a 2002 RC51. Crank up the speakers
and enjoy the ride!
