Pending approval from the chief medical officer at Sachsenring, Rossi will be on his M1 following a mere 6 weeks after snapping his tibia/fibia (purportedly compound fracture) at Mugello.
Aside from Rossi being an incredible individual and personally believing he has the drive to get back in the seat, I wonder how much influence (and assistance) he received from Dorna to get back at it. GP viewership was down significantly with the loss of Rossi...which means lower profits for Dorna (at least that's my belief).
Regardless of all the hype and crap, the guy's a frickin' stud. He jumped on Toseland's superbike and did lap times that would have put him on the front row of the grid and podium at Brno.

Fiat Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi just finished his test at Brno moments ago and according to Yamaha Racing management he was able to lap Brno at 1:59.1. This is an incredibly competitive lap time, easily faster than James Toseland went in Superpole. Rossi is reportedly ridng Toseland's motorcycle today at Brno.
Yamaha man Cal Crutchlow banged a 1:59.2 for fastest lap in race two yesterday at Brno. Conditions are cooler today, but regardless, if Rossi did put down a 1:59.1, it is flat-out amazing. |

Shite, it was six weeks before I was even able to get out of nursing care. And then the wife was pretty iffy for two years about me ever riding again. Good on The Doctor. Great to have him back so we can wonder who he'll ride for next season. _________________ I can't stop aging but I refuse to grow up! |

I remember that sport...just a little difference in the age though
Check out the Friday practice times...just .02 off Lorenzo's pace. Granted, he's running 7th, but that's pretty frickin' amazing considering he has a broken leg

Rumor has it that he'll announce his contract with Ducati at the Laguna round next weekend. How crazy will it be if Hayden and Rossi are teammates once again _________________ "Riding a motorcycle is like playing chess. Anyone can learn the moves, but it takes a lifetime to master the game."
